Coach Harp has been coaching for 23 years; this is his 14th at South Hills.  Coach Harp holds both a Bachelor and Masters Degree from Texas Christian University. One high school memory that stands out is beating the Stephenville Yellowjackets his junior year in the playoffs. Being a Marine Corps Veteran he believes that it is important for today’s youth to understand the concept of team work. He enjoys the aspect of being around kids and watching them work together as a team and begin to realize the rewards of exceptional team work.  A few of his favorites include; Michael Jordan (pro athlete), George Strait and Mexican food. Mika and his wife Monica have been married for 2o years, have 4 children; daughters Britni (31), Trinity (25), Hallie (18), son Brady (16) and grandchildren; Rhyder, Sturling, Paislee, Gatlin and Lennox.
