Coach Nixon is entering his 9th year at South Hills High School. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from Texas Christian University, and a Master of Science in Sports Administration from West Virginia University. He is a nationally Certified Athletic Trainer through the Board of Certification (BOC). David previously completed internships with the Grand Prairie Air Hogs, the Dallas Cowboys, and Texas Wesleyan University Athletics. For six years, he has served on the District Athletic Training Committee. He just rolled off the Southwest Athletic Trainer Association (SWATA) Communications Committee and the North Texas Athletic Trainers Society (NTATS) Sponsorship Committee. Each of these, with the goal in mind, to promote the care and safety of our student-athletes and the professional lives of athletic trainers. When not at work, Coach Nixon is likely watching his Horned Frogs play or planning his next national parks trip.
